His interest in the markets goes back to his childhood, when he won a regional stock-picking contest. He started his financial career at Merrill Lynch, and then moved to Donaldson, Lufkin, Jenrette (DLJ), before running a trading desk at an internet trading firm that is now part of TD Ameritrade. His trading approach uses a combination of technical and quantitative analysis within a macro-economic framework. He is a graduate of Boston College and currently lives with his wife in New York City.
