Good Kill on the Auto Bill…
I like my Republicans to be Republicans and that’s exactly what the majority of Senate Republicans where this morning! The lame duck spoke loud and clear this morning, and sent a nice message to the Big 3 (GM) (F) (Chrysler) and UAW that stated you will probably get your money, but you better be real careful! (Bush leading from the center will probably lend them the money from TARP.)
Main Street does not want to buy their cars, Wall Street doesn’t want their stock, banks don’t want to lend them money, and the American taxpayers are sick and tired of the incredible lack of professionalism by the management and the UAW.
It’s clear that these two parties cannot come together to make bad cars!! Never mind good ones, and the American people are torn. They want to them to make good cars, every American is dying to buy American again. We miss breaking down, and getting nothing on our trade-ins. Seriously though, if they came together and made a decent car with green technology Americans would buy them again.
And with a strong dollar their prices may become real attractive, compared to the foreign cars in the U.S.
In conclusion, I am for whatever just keeps their noses above sea level, and get them to realize that they need to get their act together fast. Perhaps, next time see if we can get them to walk from Detroit to Washington! This way they can see all the foreign cars on the road and how much the emissions really stink up the air.
